Accept the responsibility passed on by ancestors to manage and care for the lands and water and ensure that the hereditary knowledge and cultural teachings are passed onto future generations.
Giving and Receiving:
Giving and receiving is a respected practice, essential to all interactions between and amongst Coast Salish people, other First Nations, and all others with an interest in fisheries.
Utilize Traditional Ecological Knowledge and Contemporary Science:
Any resource management or scientific work must seek out the highest level of expertise and be defensible. All work must recognize the importance of ecosystems and ecosystem interactions.
Accountability:
Directors and Society staff must always be accountable to the community and their leadership.
