Lyackson First Nation is an Indigenous community with 200+ members. The Nation's traditional territory encompasses mid Vancouver Island, Leey’qsun Island (Valdes Island), the Salish Sea, and the Fraser River areas. Lyackson’s Administration Offices are located 15 minutes north of Duncan, BC.
Lyackson First Nation's Guardians are responsible for the management of the Nation’s natural resources, maintenance of our Island’s buildings, roads, and equipment, as well as providing security to protect our reserve lands and culturally sensitive sites. The Guardians are the Nation’s ambassadors, interacting with visitors, resources users and other agencies or organizations active in our territory.
